POX, the "Game of Alien Creation and Universal Destruction" LCD Game

So I was in midtown with a pal of mine, and we met up at Book Off, a Japanese bookstore where they sell used books, toys, video games, etc. There was some cool stuff, but what really caught my eye was a 17 year old LCD game by Hasbro called "POX". It was the "Cycro" model and had a really strange shape and beautiful green and grey color scheme. I couldn't resist.

I have a vague memory of these toys. I had several Tiger Electronic LCD games back in the 1990's; my favorite was "The Lion King" which was the one my cousin had, but we'd play it non-stop. Last year I purchased a mint-in-box "Toxic Crusaders" LCD game by Systema. When I finally found the battery it needed I was pleased to find out it still worked. So in short, yes I unironically love LCD games.

Once I get my POX unit up and running I'll see about filming a bit of footage of it. I think it'll be a fun thing to carry around with me while I'm on campus.
