I live in New York City, where I was born and raised in the Lower East Side, and I rarely leave my town for any sort of business or vacation. A few months back I had to travel to Chile to take care of some family business. While I was there though, I was spoiled rotten by my grandmother and my family and I was treated to some of the best food I've had in quite some time. Chile itself has a lot of local products I like as well, but the best is of course the home cooked stuff. My grandmother is a world class chef in my mind, and every meal she makes is like the best meal I've ever head. She's a local leader in a political party there I believe, and she's pretty well respected around town. I miss her and my family, but that's life I guess.
I'm not really fond of traveling by airplane. I find it unconfortable, and even scary. It's just one of those things you have to do to get to a place that's significantly far away. Traveling by ship would be too long. So until the scientists of our world finally get a functioning teleporter up and working, I'll just have to fly to Chile every year to drink endless bottles of Pap (papaya flavored soda) and see my family.
