A nice cold day in NYC

Today has been one of the coldest days of the year and I enjoyed it as much as I could. I did my errands as usual, and I sort of feel like everyone was overreacting. Then I saw my poor turtles cuddling up next to the heater in their tank; I was deeply humbled by this. I made sure to poor in some warm water and to give them extra treats. I don't have a thermometer in my apartment, but since we live in a basement apartment, I can assure you that it's pretty cold here. I'm just a warm-blooded idiot who enjoys cold air.

Around 8PM the temperature dropped down to 16-degrees (but the Real Feel was 4-degrees). I was home doing laundry, so it didn't bother me much. The turtles by this time were much warmer than before. Until the weather gets warmers I'm just going to keep adding warm water into their tank to make sure they're alright.

Around 10PM my girlfriend had a craving for Wendy's, and would you know it, there's one 20 minutes from us and we never knew. So I took a walk in this freezing weather, no gloves or scarf, and went out to get us some Wendy's fast-food. It wasn't so bad actually, even I layered up a bit, but my hands were absolutely numb from carrying the food.

And if you look at the picture below,  you'll see that my drinks were frozen! When I got home my Dr. Pepper was like a slushie! I'm pretty impressed with myself; I knew I could take the cold but I'm basically a walking oven.

So that was my big adventure for the day. I just walked around in the cold to get some garbage food for dinner.

In other news:

I've been updating my already MASSIVE list of links on the desktop version of this blog. The links stretch down farther then the allowed number of posts on the main page, which is aggravating for me, so I may delete a number of links for the sake of neatness, but I'm not sure I want to do that yet. It really depends on how I feel.

I do plan on adding a whole bunch of out-of-date anime fansites though, so that'll be fun.
